Ev: Middle School Pizza Party

We had our middle school event and only 3 came but the miracle was that one of the boys had come to VBS about three years ago and while Jon, Lizzy and Andrew were passing our flyers, they gave him a flyer for the pizza party. He came with two friends. Since they had to leave just before 6 for English school, there was no time to make pizza and eat it but Chieko had made a large trial pizza and we were able to give it to them.
God arranged the meeting and the fact we had food for them. Matt, Tim, BJ and Andrew played ping pong with them and they seem to have a fun time. When they left, we gave the bridge illustration to salvation in manga style to them. We pray that a seed will be planted and take root in the future. After they left, Paul and Carol Suzuki and two of their three kids came to join us for pizza. We had a great time making pizzas, baking it and eating them. We got to know the Suzukis and Reasoners better (ie. Chieko loves onions!) Chieko also made delicious spaghetti for us and provided melons. Since Matt, Tim and Andrew did not have time to share with the three boys, we decided have them do it after dinner. We were all blessed by Matt and Tim as they worshipped God through music and then Andrew shared his testimony which was very encouraging. It was like God gave us a moment of being in His presence among His people. I was also reminded that we came not just to share the gospel but to be an encouragement to our missionaries as they also encourage us in our spiritual journey. God gives us what we need even when we don't plan it or know that we need it. I can't wait to see what God will do tomorrow night at the high school meeting. Continue to pray for unity, for sensitivity to God's leading, for a total trust in Him, for open hearts to His Word and Love.
